Thanks, Walt. The turkey vultures were circling high overhead and looked quite majestic from that distance with their big wings, feathers splayed. I know we have them up here in the warm months, but obviously not as plentiful as down there.
Love goldfinches! We have lots of those but they keep their distance enough that they're tough to get with a 200mm. Tree swallows are about the size of goldfinches, but sometimes they'll let me get as close as 15 feet or less (if I'm very, very quiet and move very, very slowly), close enough that I didn't have to crop much off this one.
