I know! But they do say in their instruction with updates to make a note of what you have set before you perform the update. Of course, it is the final instruction. Unless you read all the way through BEFORE you start the update, you don't know that.
Oh. By the way. They did NOT enclose the instructions with the 1.12 update zip package. It's bloody irritating, Ricoh!
