Hello, all. How similar is the ZX-5n to the ZX-5 (or the MZ-5n to the MZ-5)? I would like to get a book (that would supplement the owners manual) for the use of the ZX-5n - one for my wife and one for my daughter-in-law, both of whom received ZX-5n's for Christmas presents.
However, the best I can seem to come up with for a book is "Complete Pentax User's Guide : Pentax MZ-5, MZ-10, Z-1P, Z-70, ZX-5, ZX-10, PZ-1P, PZ-70" by John Clements, from way back in February of 1997. If the two bodies are ~very~ similar, then this might be a good book. However, if the two bodies are significantly different, then the book might just add confusion rather than helping these new ZX-5n owners. Such encyclopedic info as actual feature differences (as shown on Boz's site, e.g.) are only part of the question, because similar (or even identical) controls could have been moved to different locations, or could be accessed differently, or could be displayed differently, when the ZX-5 was upgraded (or "sidegraded"?) to the ZX-5n. Or, to take a different tack, is there a better book to get? (I'm not looking to give them any more "general photography" books - I'm looking for books with ZX-5n-specific info.) So, I guess that I (a mostly manual focus guy, not including my MEF collection) am looking for some knowledgeable input from some of you AF aficionados out there. What say? Thanks.
