Thank you, Rob. I was very fortunate to connect with a professional product and fashion photographer at my first studio workshop. She observed the hopeless attempts that I and a fellow photographer were making to get some life out of the models and agreed to setup a private workshop to tutor us. At this same workshop, the two of us watched in open-mouthed amazement as she coached a first-time model into creating outstanding poses and expressions. The model was so impressed, she also attended our directing workshop. I believe that directing models is one photography skill that you cannot get from reading tutorials or watching webinars. You need to experience a live one-on-one session with a skilled teacher and models to get the nuances. And in my case at least, one session won't do it. Practice, practice, practice. :-) -- -bmw -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
