I wonder if the silver finish on the lens is really chrome, as Pal seemed to indicate. The finish on my 43mm doesn't look like chrome. I don't believe that aluminum can be chrome plated. REPLY: What exactly to you mean with lens barrel? The lens barrel (strictly defined) are black on all Limited lenses and similar to the barrels found on the FA* lenses. Made of steel perhaps? Its the outer cover thats anodized. According to Herbert Keppler this outer body is made of brass. Keppler also had a write up on the anodizing process involved. I don't remember the details.
