Thanks, Bob, Christine and Bruce!

The sand crab was a lucky catch. I was taking a wide shot of our
favorite Maui Beach (Keawakapu) early in the morning, and I noticed
not the crab but the shadow, and it immediately grabbed me. The image
pretty much took itself. Sometimes "being there" is the most
important thing. <G>

With the snail, I was lucky to have my camera. I had brought it to
take publicity shots of the members of my local Rotary Club doing
their quarterly highway trash clean-up service project. After the job
was done, I was talking to another member when I noticed the snail and
the subtle colors of its shell. I ran back to get my camera, and
waited for the trail to get a little longer and more obvious, while
trying to get the right angle to highlight the slime. It's a good
thing snails are a lot slower than sand crabs.
