That was a literaly parenthetical note that you refer to.
However in response to your "why?": you should not take interviews 
(of commercial company representatives) at the face value, as those 
are typically often given in -parseltongue- err.. business-speak. 

Besides, if you haven't noticed, I tend to cross-correlate various 
information. Maybe that's why I am a scientist. :-)
