Gee that stinks. Still, it could have been a lot worse. And I'm glad the driver was good about it, too. Similar incidents happen here. I know of a couple of people who got pretty banged up when riding in a cycle lane during heavy traffic and someone waves a turning vehicle through. It's nearly happened to me a couple of times so I'm very careful around intersections.
Good to hear you rode home, too. I attempted to ride home from the accident when I broke my collarbone (without knowing it was broken) but only lasted a couple of hundred metres so I walked a little over halfway before calling the Mrs to pick me up. I've yet to ride in an ambulance and I'd like to keep it that way. After treatment I read the label on the codeine pills they'd prescribed me, which said to "limit alcohol intake". It didn't say what the limit was, nor whether it was meant to be an upper or lower limit :) Cheers, Dave On Sep 22, 2012, at 4:33 PM, [email protected] wrote: > Could have been a lot worse but I collided with a left-turning car this > evening. > > Injured my left shoulder (again) and got an ambulance ride to the hospital > (no sirens, damn it!). > > X-rays all negative but was diagnosed with partially torn rotator cuff.
