Thanks Bob, Yes it's a T9 trainer. A number of single seaters were converted during the 1940s as dual seat trainers to train Seafire pilots in carrier operations. There are only a couple left, both in the UK I think, although there is talk of a team starting manufacturing one from scratch. Up until about 5 years ago it was possible to go up as a passenger (at a very high price!), but it's no longer possible for safety / licencing reasons.
