Albano, Buy now, think later. Before EBay, this lens became available maybe once or twice a year on the Web. Even now it comes around less often than once a month. It sells for $275 to $350 online, a bit more if a bidder wants it badly enough. It's so scarce, I'm afraid to take mine anywhere. :)
It's actually smaller and a bit lighter than my Vivitar Series 1 28/1.9 PK (58mm filter). As you may know, the 28/2K was one of three or four lenses that Pentax designed with Carl Zeiss. It's plenty sharp, contrasty, and free of aberrations, but so is the SMC 28/3.5K--possibly more so. You'll have to decide if the speed and panache are worth the extra dough. If the price is less than $225, you can always sell it for more. Shel, you've been testing my 28/2K against my Vivitar 28/1.9. Are you ready to weigh in with your findings? Is it good in optical performance? Any comments welcome. I'm asking this because I was given an unused Minolta AF 50mm 1.7 that I'm thinking in trade for it. -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
