Thanks Dan & Bruce and anyone else who gave it a second look. Yeah I
think that background was to instil DOF in our minds. You should have
seen it before I softened it in post.
Given the opportunity, yes I would give it another try.

Lots of good stuff there, Don.
Hmmm. Best overall for light, expression, pose & framing: 12204 -
Version 2 (your Flickr title) [the dark-skinned girl in the white
tank-top]. Close 2nd: 12070 - Version 2 [aka the last one]. I'd have
preferred the focus being on her left eye though.
But damn, that background: yow! Couldn't have picked anything louder
could they?:-)
Yeah, I prefer this lighting. BTW, I'm not against dramatic light, but
it's gotta be flattering to the subject. Eg: light that's too parallel
to skin reveals every wrinkle, enlarged pore, blemish, extra fat, etc.
Real bad for female faces especially. I like to apply contrasty light
to more distant bodies to create outlines, wall shadows, etc.
So: packing it in, or going to see if the old dog might like some more
new tricks?:-)

I like the last one, but find the background a bit busy.

Don't want to over stay my welcome but these are the good ones and the last

favorite guess which one is my pick.
