Somone just asked the exact question not long ago (not you I guess), and I 
did not recommend this at all (because I tried and failed). The original 
screen of the Super A/Program is smaller than any screens of Pentax AF 
bodies. And MX/LX screens are quite a bit larger. If your friend haven't 
removed the metal frame from the body yet, I would suggest don't do it. The 
reason is you must file all 4 edges of the C74 screen accurately, and then 
"glue" it onto the metal frame. This is no easy task. Plus the position of 
the screen must be calibrated afterward or false focus will result. If your 
friend insisted, all I can say is good luck (he's going to need it). Pentax 
don't have any original Super A/program screen anymore so don't do it if he 
can't afford to lose.
