I ran into some problems running out of space on my computer. In the process of trying to straighten things out, I may have deleted some files that I didn't mean to.
My plan was to point the import menu at the backup files that lightroom makes, sorted into "backup by date". Unfortunately, even with "don't import suspected duplicates" checked, it seems to want to import duplicates, not just the files that have been accidentally deleted from the main tree. When I took Godfrey's lightroom class, he specifically said that Lightroom was really good at recognizing duplicates, even if the name had changed, but it's completely failing to do so in this case. Anybody have any idea what's going wrong?
