A big thank you to everyone who responded to my proud parental announcement.
I haven't been checking my email as regularly - I think you can guess why. I'm waiting on all the B&W shots to come back from the lab - it takes 3-4 days here (Perth, Western Australia). I can remember the days when Colour used to be shipped to the other side of the country and take a fortnight, while B&W was done in a "mere" 24 hours. Just a few personal responses... Brendan >CONGRATS!!!!! now go buy him a new Pentax :-) No, I'LL buy a new Pentax, he'll inherit them :-) "You never own a Pentax, you only look after them for the next generation"* Len >The baby and the pictures get even more precious as time goes by. Thanks Len, I think I've finally convinced mum of that too. I think I'll put the local camera labs son through college. Tom >You've had that subject line in your head a while, haven't you? ;) Yes Tom - for about, ohhhh, 36 weeks :-) Kathy Leickly >...because the time when they're little goes by so fast, and > before you know it they're off to college. Thanks, I'll try. It's made me realise how *my* dad must have felt. I call him all the time now. Alan >Don't forget to take the pictures to embarrass him in front of any >girlfriends later in life ! I have an excellent shot of his legs akimbo and his scrotum in _just_ the right light. I'll keep that for just the right time... :-) Cotty >Congrats Simon and family. My son's 8 year's old and I've only been >sleeping reasonably well for the last 3 or so!!!! So where do you find the time for your excellent advice and reviews? I wish there was a sleep bank, then I could call on it from all those time I slept in till 2pm when I was a teenager.
