Yeah, you are of course referring to the famous Karsh photo. Great story (and 
portrait!) for those of you who don't know it:

Karsh was a cool guy. This photo vaulted him to international prominence as he 
photographed many political and entertainment elites. However during his entire 
career he maintained his storefront portrait studio in Ottawa and his prices 
for walk-ins were most reasonable; the same as any other run-of-the-mill studio 
in fact.

Obvious Churchill reference but I believe the story was that the best 
Winston picture was taken by a photographer after he ripped the cigar 
from Churchill's mouth. Probably not needed here.
