Hi Bill,
you forgot Exaktas and Prakticas - in many ways the hallmarks of
SLR design (first SLRs ever), both of them, and all Exaktas and
many (earlier) Prakticas had interch. finders (esp. after the
invention of pentaprism so there were more options than just
   waist-level and magnifier finders)

Oly' OMs didn't have inter. finders, to make them as small as possible
(while still ergonomic enough). They even had removable X synch
hotshoe (a feature I would very much like on the LX or other
cameras, it makes the hotshoe much smaller and streamlined. Yes,
there is the FA-2, but this one lacks the aperture window, a
   definite lack for me).

I too would like to have the FF1 (or FE1? not waist-level, the
magnifier type) finder for my LX, for tripod work or critical
focus. A 1.3x magnif. image must be gorgeous :)

Good light,
   Frantisek Vlcek
