Actually I think you'd be surprised at how normal it felt to us because we're used to it and we've been going through the area occasionally. There are a handful of blocks almost fully razed which makes you think. It was interesting looking at empty lots trying to remember what used to be there before. Those Google glasses would be useful here if loaded up with the previous Street View imagery :) When I looked at last years collection I was surprised at how much had changed but there's still lots more to be done. The city is still just carrying on; many businesses have relocated and because of this it may end up being difficult to bring life back into the CBD when it reopens. Shops have settled in with their new customer bases so another move would be disruptive again. And I think rents will be fairly high in town with so many buildings being new. It will definitely be an eye opener when it's opened up a bit more as there is a lot going on in places we can't see. We also saw a handful of new construction sites which would be nice if they weren't all tilt-slab :( Dave > On 4/6/2012 2:35 AM, David Mann wrote: >> We went for another look around the CBD cordon today.
