I just now discovered that IrfanView has a plugin that will allow it to
open DNG an PEF files. I can't believe I didn't know this before. I've
been using it since version 1.something and I never had the first
inkling that it would do that. It is now my single favorite image app in
the whole wide world.
Has this been common knowledge, or is it a relatively new development?
Depends on what "relatively new" means. The RAW plugin for IfranView has
been around for a couple of years at least.
