Hi, I think it's unlikely that anybody in the UK will try to snatch your cameras while you're carrying them. I've travelled over large parts of the world, and I live in the UK, and nobody has ever tried to do this to me. When somebody decided to take my cameras they just came to my house and took them.
Having said that, if you do feel the need for belt pouches and such like, I would suggest you buy a 2nd belt rather than attach things to the belt that's holding your trousers up because the weight will try to pull your trousers due south. This is probably why cowboys had a separate gunbelt. Various companies make belt systems. A particularly good one, which I use from time-to-time, is LowePro's Street and Field system. The S&F Light Belt is very good, and there are several pouches, cases, organisers and so on that attach to it. It's very versatile. I tend to use it with a water bottle, snap top and film drop ratherthan to keep my cameras secure. An attachment that might work well for you is one of the S&F Reporter AW bags, or the Toploader bags, which all come in several sizes and can be worn either as shoulder bags or can be fitted to the waistbelt. http://www.lowepro.com/pages/bySeries/StreetF.htm# --- Bob mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Thursday, March 07, 2002, 11:17:22 AM, you wrote: > Hi All, > I'm planning on travelling to the UK later this year and am in the > midst of working out what camera gear to take with me, and how to carry it > around.
