interesting hunch on the right-click blocking (though that can be done without Flash), but i think it may be a Firefox add-on that Ann's using (without realizing it) that tries to add something "helpful" to raw image urls

afaict, it's happening at Ann's end, it's not coming from SmugMug; smugmug.com sends me a JPEG and nothing else from that URL; in addition to browser-based inspection, here's how i tested:
