John said,

Per the request, here's some pix of what
the 135-600 6.7 SMC Zoom Takumar lens looks like:

It's pretty big, but not to bad to handle
on a monopod. Using it without a monopod
or tripod is out of the question. I think
I weighs about 9 pounds. It takes 95mm filters
in the front or 49mm in the removable rear
section. Built in sliding hood. According
to pentax's markings it replaces 11 primes!

JCO,

Well, you certainly get the phallic fungus award for
the month, maybe even the year! Looks to be in great
cosmetic condition to boot. That is some whopper of a
lens. I am amazed you say that a monopod is adequate
for this. I bet you could almost sneak into a
football game with that.

I was reading that the back part of the lens detaches
and that is screwed into the body, then the rest of
the lens is coupled onto it. How is that in practice?
Awkward? How far back does that tube go? Right
before the aperature ring?

Congrats again on such a nice find.
