For a while, I had a friend who worked at an electric car consortium at Alameda NAS and was living in an RV parked behind the hanger. I was amused that she was basically living for free in a place with a million dollar view. > > Only once I got there I discovered my quick release plate was not with me. > (Self-kick, self-kick, self-kick, self-curse, self-curse, self-curse, > self-lambast, self-not-speaking-to-self.) > > So had to shoot without a tripod. What I often do when I run up against a technical limitation is that in post processing I take the "flaw", amp it up, and try to turn it from a bug into a feature. For example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/6076201810/in/set-72157627507139704 Maybe you can do something to play with the noise in your other shots. Turn them to black and white so the noise looks like grainy film that's been pushed hard or something? > > But the view was fantastic. Even with fog. Did you get to see Bliss Dance? I've been wanting to get to TI to check it out. They probably have it lit up at night also, which could be nice with city lights in the background. > > Marnie the akaless > > (I will explain this once, then refer to it about two more times.
