Well, you should receive the confirmation more or less instantaneously,
but I made it 24 hours to allow for the vagaries of the internet.
Whether you received the email or not doesn't matter - I got the
submission.
Yeah, the confirmation popped up in my inbox about 10 minutes later.
Probably has to do with how frequently Thunderbird polls the server for
new mail.
