Shortened link to blog image only this time, since the text in the article has no connection to the motif. http://turl.no/fkb I've been playing around with a two-flash setup for macro in the last couple of days, using an AF540FGZ in addition to the AF160-FC ring flash. Getting the right balance between the two is an interesting exercise. When using the 540 to provide background illumination, I find it most predictable to set it to wireless slave mode, put it on manual and home in on the right illumination for the particular background. Pretty sure I haven't actually nailed it with this one, but even getting to a proof of concept is a small victory for me. Comments on lighting techniques most appreciated.
