I think you may be right about the bright blue along the upper edge.
I shall try a variation with that area partially cropped out or with
selectively less contrast.  Part of me, however, feels that the bright
area there is part of the scene, and the contrast in lighting conveys
the feeling that one gets at the crater itself.
