Hi guys, Finally got some to take the new K5 and 18-135 out on an excursion. My wife and I went to Werribee Open Plains Zoo - just west of Melbourne.
Light was not that conducive to photography - was from 10:30 in the morning through to mid-afternoon: high-contrast, harsh at worst... and it was a hot sunny day here (30 degrees at the zoo). https://picasaweb.google.com/petergly/WerribeeOpenPlainsZoo?authkey=Gv1sRgCKL4rr_x7sOVXw# All are jpeg's, camera set to landscape colour balance, no other corrections apart from distortion correction and lateral CA. In Picasa auto contrast, minor fill lighting adjustments, small amount of sharpening. No cropping (yet). I'm most impressed with the camera, and especially the lens. It easily caters for my meagre photographic abilities, yet leaves me with lots of scope for improvement.
