I haven't seen lag times like that. The digital cameras I have used are no worse than autofocus film SLR's, and some are better because there is no mirror that needs to flip up out of the way in order to make an exposure. Of course, I haven't used all models of digital cameras, so you may have found one with a one-second delay between shutter press and exposure. Are you sure you aren't measuring from shutter press until the image is diplayed on the LCD viewing screen? This usually includes the time necessary to write the image to the media you are using but the actual image capture is much faster than that. I'd be interested in knowing which brand(s) of digital cameras have a lag of a second before image capture. I know that how you use an autofocus camera can make a large difference in the lag time. Perhaps you haven't found the best technique yet. Len --- - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
