Very nice to be welcomed by all of you; I see Godfrey posts here and I'm happy to say he provided some early inspiration to me as I learned to love Pentax prime glass (like many others I've owned lots and lots of primes and have consolidated my kit to the most utilitarian form i can). RE: Old men that drink heavily ;-) - I'm a young man that doesn't drink at all, but I'm 'weird' enough without fueling the fire with liquor.
On the processing, angles, geometry, details, etc. - I'm the kind who approaches photography from a fine art perspective first I guess ... love to 'perfect' shots, do lots of deleting, and bring the best possible file I can into processing (which I do in Lightroom 3 and CS). I like to produce a vintage look on many of my shots and will play with color extensively to do so (including luminance and hue); I'm not afraid to work a photograph over, but I like to avoid full-blown HDR. Also, thank you for the list of acronyms, it has helped already. -- Andrew Allen Freelance Photographer and Writer www.andrewallenphoto.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
