Another sporting event, the first time I've used my new 16-45 lens "in anger". I must say that zooms are pretty handy.
I got a bit of a fright early on when the camera suddenly locked up and wouldn't respond. I removed and reinserted the battery and it's been fine ever since. The weather probably had something to do with that as we had bouts of light rain and I was mostly keeping the camera under my jacket after the reset. It was probably better for the athletes than the 35 degrees C we had yesterday. I've split the photos into two galleries due to the amount. Sorry about vertical ones being so small, that's been on my todo list for a while. I might get to look at it during the holiday. Part 1 (the first 20 pics): http://www.multisport.net.nz/photos/1290-2010-12-19-house-of-travel-triathlon-festival-pt1.html Part 2 (the second 20, mostly elite athletes): http://www.multisport.net.nz/photos/1291-2010-12-19-house-of-travel-triathlon-festival-pt2.html K10D, DA16-45mm f/4 and FA*200mm f/2.8. The cloudy weather meant most photos were underexposed and I had a tough job in Photoshop to try and make them look reasonable. I put in some exposure compensation towards the end which helped... for photos that didn't make it in :) Cheers, Dave David Mann [email protected] http://www.multisport.net.nz/ skype: multisport.net.nz -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
