Yes ... something like it.  There have been times when a very bright
light has been close to the frame line and has caused a flare into the
area outside the frame.  I've never had it so bad that it's migrated to
the next frame, but with a bright enough light and a long enough
exposure, and, of course, a film that may be more susceptible to this,
it's quite possible.

The solution is to pay careful attention to what's in the viewfinder. 
Unfortunately, IIRC, the MZS has a smallish finder, which precludes
seeing out to the edge of the frame line, so you'll have to be extra
careful.
