Got this film back from Walgreens a couple weeks back. I was really
excited to see a photo I'd made of my little town's Baptist Church.

I was disappointed when the scan came back really bad:

I pulled the neg out this morning to scan for myself and was happy to
find the photo much more like I'd imagined it:

I'm a happy camper.

Gives you the chance to experiment with the in between as well.

I think you might scan it again with a different exposure to bring the church itself a little closer to what the drugstore got, maybe halfway between the Walgreens image and your image.

Then sandwich the images to create a slightly more luminous foreground without losing that brooding sky in the background.
