We spend a lot of time down in the Port Credit area, Frank. This shot was
taken in the JJ Plaus Park, but we're more often found walking through the
RK McMillan Park which is actually half-way back east toward New Toronto. If
you haven't yet, you should take a bike ride out to Port Credit sometime.
It's very photogenic.
We used to walk our dogs at the Colonel Samuel Smith park back when we lived
in Etobicoke. I figure I'll bump into you down on the Lakeshore one of
these days because I still visit CanClone, my favourite large format
printer, down there a few blocks west of Kipling.
Thank you very much for your comments, Frank.
Colonel Sam is pretty much at the foot of my street. I'm on Twelfth
and it's at the bottom of Thirteenth. Lovely area (as you know).
I had no idea CanClone did printing. I thought they copied CDs and
DVDs and did electronic repairs. I'll have to check them out some
day.
If you're ever down in the area gimme a call (I'll e-mail you off-list
with my number). We should grab a coffee.
cheers,
frank
Excellent idea, Frank, I look forward to that.
On CanClone, they are big into graphics and they added a Canon
imagePROGRAF iPF8100 that prints on up to 42" wide roll paper (12 inks!)
to their stable of printers a couple of years ago now. The colour
rendering and detail is gorgeous. They don't really compete with places
like Blacks for small prints (eg 4x5, 5x7) and but when you go to 8x10
and up, their prices are pretty good and can be a fraction of what
Blacks wants.
I'll introduce you to Candi and Jim there sometime. It's a nice
family-run biz.
