The convention of using capitalized "RAW" for raw files is pretty common, John. I don't see any reason to confuse people with all the various file extension specifics. My library of native raw files includes .NEF, .CRW, .CR2, .ORF, .RAW, .RW2, .PEF, .MRF, and .SRF file extensions. They're all RAW (or raw) image files. The first version of the Camera Raw plugin was a $100 add-on to Photoshop 7; Camera Raw 2.0 shipped with Photoshop CS. ".DNG" files, aka Adobe Digital Negative raw files, are supported by all versions of the Camera Raw plugin since version 2.4. -- Godfrey godfreydigiorgi.posterous.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
