Hi Leon, > We are planning a stopover in Japan on the way to Europe and of course > I want to look up some of the wonderful Pentax items only available in > Japan. What I would like to know is where do I look?
There is Pentax Forum (show room) in Shinjuku area. The nearest station is Shinjuku. It's on the 1st floor of Shinjuku Mitsui Bldg. You can also find many camera shops in Shinjuku area, I believe. Well, I don't know much about Tokyo... > Also what is Tokyo like for English speaking travelers? I can manage a > bit of German (my wife can manage more)and that's fine for Europe, but > none of us can speak a word of Japanese besides Bokeh! You can count on English (alphabetical) signs everywhere. However, not many people speak English, and, I suppose, few speak German... Some Japanese words; "Kon'nichiwa" means hello, and "Arigato (stress on "i")" means thank you. Hope this helps.
