Not only the "what" is important, but the "who". The "firmness" of a rumor can be judged by the reliability of the source. Macintosh fans play this game with Apple every quarter. Sometimes the rumors are started by someone with an active imagination but are completely baseless, and other times someone close to the action actually will leak details.
Folks I generally give credence to include engineers working on the product, mag editors and journalists, and banking and financial reps (who are sometimes shown new products ahead of schedule to secure funding or build confidence). t On 2/6/02 1:57 AM, Pl Audun Jensen wrote: > JCO wrote: >> What the hell is a "firm rumor"?
