I use the screwmount Carl Zeiss Pancolar 80/1.8 MC with a PK 
adapter. An excellent lens!
I don't know the UK prices, but mine was about 16000HUF, which is 
a little less than 40GBP.

The russian Jupiter-9 85/2 is also an option. Not that good, but acceptable 
and dirt cheap.
