Don't forget, Nikon uses interpolation in the D1x as well, I believe it is in the 
vertical plane, to boost their resolution numbers.  They leave the horizontal 
resolution alone though.  I always find it amusing when people gripe about the Fuji 
CCD interpolation, then compare it against a "real" camera that does not like the D1x. 
 :)

Fuji does have a lot of noise in their second generation CCD, especially at ISO400.  
It is quite good at ISO 100 and well controlled at ISO 200, but at 400, especially 
with long exposures, the noise is pretty bad.  Fuji claims in their third generation 
Super CCD, they've fixed that with new algorithms.  Time will tell I suppose...

Too bad that Pentax didn't work with Fuji on the new SLR body though.  The Fuji images 
are *very* nice from the Super CCD cameras.  I'd be ecstatic if there was a new Fuji 
digital SLR with a K-AF mount!
