Thanks for the comments, I'm a bit pushed for time so please excuse me
for providing generic answers.

Yes he has grown, and yes he definitely has the potential to be a
handful but I can't take full credit for that. He's just a little over
3 1/2 yrs old but he can already deliver a credible argument when
required. Glad I caught that look, I think it tells a lot about him
;-)

Technically the image was nothing too special, K-x, ISO400,
DA35/[email protected], hand held @ 1/125th DNG converted using the much
maligned ACR (2.4) and post processed in PS CS.

Post process workflow was:

File IMGX00550.DNG opened
Levels (gamma shift)
Shadow/Highlight (very subtle on highlights and shadow)
Burn Tool (bright side of head to restore detail)
Image Size (bicubic)
Sharpen (USM)
Convert to Profile (sRGB)
8 Bits/Channel
