There was a certian amount of Angst about the K-7 having a sync speed of only 1/180 sec. Well at least Pentax seems to be honest...

Os so it seems to me.

The last part about "Crank the Volume to 11" won't work with Pentax, will it?

The hot-shoe won't fire the strobe at greater than sync speeds, except for the "high-speed" sync mode on the AF-360FGZ or AF-540FGZ (which I haven't figured out yet).

Just tested the K10D (1/180 or less) and *ist-D (1/150 or less) with a "dumb flash" Vivitar 285HV and neither will fire the strobe at greater than sync speed.

I also tested the *ist-D using the PC sync, and it doesn't fire that at greater than sync speed either.

It's a good article though.
