I have been in touch with the person and he inspires confidence
but I do not know if his prices are a bit high.
Full service and fix of sp500 (sticking meter button) �70.50 inc vat and
six months wrty.
�35.00 for a full service on a 100mm f4 macro lens again 6 months....
I will give Jim Brooks's recommendation in Manchester a ring and see
what they sound like.
I have had a camera 'killed' by 'professional repairers' so I am a
little wary.
Still I prefer to pay and get a good job done.
If anyone is interested I will let you know how I get on.

I have no experience on how good they are - they supplied me with a LX
strap lug stud (the actual metal stud, so I could fix it to a grip a la
LX Grip 2000 or whatever). The guy was friendly and told me that they
had
people working in their repair shop who worked at Pentax in the past.
