Ahh, that does make sense although whether it justifies a US$4,000 price difference is another matter. You are right that I was asking out of curiosity; I definitely don't intend to buy lenses of that calibre anytime soon, but I am looking at either the 90mm f/2.8 or the new 75mm f/2.8.
