I'm afraid I can't help much, then. :-)  In Evening's "Photoshop for
Photographers" book, he mentions that there's a company out there that
will build a profile for a specific output device.  My suspicion is
that it's more expensive than a new scanner that does have an ICC
profile from the manufacturer. :-)

You're welcome.  I'm still "dialling in" my digital darkroom, so I'll
be doing more experiments with papers and printer settings over the
next month or two, as I have time.  I'll post anything interesting I
find.  So far, I've found Evening's book to be great, but I'm only
two-thirds of the way through it.
