this is really OT. of course i will bring a pentax camera and some lenses, but i'm not asking which ones to take already (it's pretty far away and i'll probably have time to collect some more equipment before i leave). what i'm asking is for suggestions for an american trip which i'm doing during july this summer. or really i'm doing an small world-tour consisting of two asian countries (suggestions are welcome) followed by a visit in perth, australia where my friend is getting married.
after that i'm leaving for the states and i'll probably arrive to chicago on the 1st of july. 2nd-7th i'm going to a festival some hours drive from chicago called 'cornerstone festival'. after that i probably need to recover but let's from the 10th to the 25th i dunno what to do. at the 25th i wanna arrive to NYC and spend my last days there. except for NYC and Chicago i really wanna go to SoCal and visit friends. do you have suggestions where to go? i'm not really intrested in nature photography or visiting national parks. more street photography, concert photography and meeting ppl on the street. i'm pretty much anti touristy things. when i visited NYC two years ago i just hung out with ppl in Central Park, chilled with ppl in the backstreets and went to shows.
