Only just seen these. That's a very interesting location. Here's an interesting tip I learned when escaping from Devil's Island (or at least, I read it in Papillon). Waves have a pattern. You have to watch them for a while until you can tell when the big ones are coming, where they will hit, what the splash will be like and (useful for escaping from remote penal colonies) how the undertow works.
