I finally got my K20 back, but it seems that most of the pictures I took yesterday were with my K100. I kept seeing things in my front yard, and since the macro lens was already on the K100, that's the one I grabbed.
I saw some miner's lettuce (unless I misidentified the plant) with the white flower in the sun, and the petals from the camelia tree in the background. The sun had moved by the time I got this shot, but I still like it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/3455472530/in/set-72157616945411789/ I also ended up shooting the petals on the ground. I can't choose between this and another one with a different focus point, so flipping a virtual coin: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/3454658031/sizes/o/in/set-72157616945411789/ Shallow DoF: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/3454688271/sizes/o/in/set-72157616945411789/ A bit more: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/3454688575/sizes/o/in/set-72157616945411789/ The reason that the macro was on the K100 is that after sorting through a lot of my shots, Zab had told me that she wanted me to take a particular poppy shot. When she showed up at my office on Friday (with a durian bubble tea for me), I sent her off to where the poppies and tractor were to get the shot herself. My favorite of her series is this one of the tractore engine in the fading sunlight: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/3454673321/in/set-72157616945754853/ Her shots have some technical issues, but she seems to be getting a decent eye. -- The fastest way to get your question answered on the net is to post the wrong answer.
