It sounds to me like an interchangeable lens compatible with two different
mounts. Almost as if they were planning a lens with a K mount and a second
mounting design, smaller than the current mount compatible with a new series
of bodies. Since an APS-C sensor is smaller than 35mm, and the K mount was
designed for film, there may be something in the works with an APS or
smaller sensor and interchangeable lens. Something EVIL?

Subject: Is This Pentax's Next Camera?
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1036&message=31252544
Can anyone interpret the language in the patent application? For example,
what are:
"annular packing made of a resilient material"
"packing-compatible camera body" and "packing-incompatible camera body"
My five-year-old version of Netscape won't open the images.
Thanks,
Joe
