Actually, I'm not completely joking. I often use a 200 at or near
minimum focusing distance. That's one of the reason's I'd really like
to have an FA* 200/4 ED(IF) Macro. Not that I have the cash to buy one,
even in the infrequent case I run across one (two or three in eight
years or so).
It's also one of the things I like about the Sigma APO 400/5.6 Macro (3m
minimum focus distance at like 1:3 magnification, IIRC). The thing I
/don't/ like about that lens is its lack of flare control, as compared
to Pentax glass.
