I'm not positive about this, but I don't think so. I don't have either the Program Plus or the AF500FTZ but I do have the Super A (Super Program) and AF330FTZ. This is a similar combination to the Program Plus/AF500FTZ. The Super A/330FTZ combination does not give correct TTL flash exposure and the flash seems to fire at full power irrespective of the aperture set. To get TTL metering with the manual focus bodies (that support TTL) you need something like the old AF400T or AF280T.
