Of course the Stylus ICM profile isn't paper specific, so results will vary from paper to paper. I find the Epson ICC profiles to be spot on with my monitor and Epson R2400 printer. Of course even calibrated monitors will vary a bit in regard to tonality, so what works for one may not work for another. The critical things are to make sure that PhotoShop's working space matches that of your photos, that the ICC profiles is named in the print box, and, most importantly, that PhotoShop is controlling color and color settings are turned off in the Epson print box. I find that a rendering intent of "Relative Colorimetric" gives me slightly better results than "Perceptual." It preserves more of what is seen on the monitor, particularly when working in a wide gamut color space like Pro Photo or even Adobe 98.

Yep, I see an improvement in quality when using Relative & paper specific ICC paper profiles. I'm getting better at this printing stuff--thanks for the tips, Paul. Cheers, Christin
