Thanks for all the comments!

Bob, that little street sign above the taxi says "Hans Place", which is three 
streets west of Sloan St.  Harrods is a few hundred meters further west.  
Looking at the area on Google Maps, I have no idea where I was standing.

I included the taxi for "flavour", and the car in the lower left corner for its 
brake lights--that part of the pic seemed very dark.  By the time I changed 
lenses to get just the buildings, the clouds had rolled in again.
